Modupe Kuti

Lecturer / Honorary Consultant, Department of Chemical Pathology- College of Medicine, University of Ibadan; 

Dr. Modupe Kuti is an academic staff of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a honorary consultant chemical pathologist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Ibadan in 1994, and obtained a Fellowship in Laboratory Medicine from the West African College of Physicians in 2004.

Dr. Kuti is an auditor of the African Society for Laboratory Medicine and has been involved in the WHO Afro Stepwise Laboratory Improvement Program towards Accreditation (SLIPTA) initiative in Nigeria. He is also a trainer under the Strengthening Laboratory Management towards Accreditation (SLMTA) program. He has been involved in the drafting of national guidelines for laboratory medicine in Nigeria and in the development of pathology curricula, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has developed and conducted training programs aimed at improving the competency of Pathology Fellows with regards to quality management. His special interests are in quality management system, the laboratory-clinic interface, and in lipids. He brings a focus on formalized engagement with the users of pathology services at the laboratory-clinical interface.
