Lecturer at College of Health Sciences, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda;
Robert Lukande is a general histopathologist and has been in practice since 2006 with special training in infectious disease pathology, dermatopathology and gynaecological cytopathology. He received both his medical and specialist degree training at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. In addition he has undertaken short-term training at the Johns Hopkins University, University of California at San Francisco, University of Alabama at Birmingham and at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He is a founding member of the College of Pathologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (COPECSA) and also a member of the Association of Pathologists of Uganda, International AIDS Society and the East African Division of the International Academy of Pathology.
Robert Lukande is the Uganda country representative for the LabSKills project funded by the Department for International Development under the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) and COPECSA. He is currently undertaking self-study in leadership and management and aims at obtaining an Executive MBA in the near future. He resides and practices histopathology in Kampala, Uganda.
